And now, on with the show…
I’m always looking for tools that save time without adding complexity. The Windows Snipping Tool is exactly that kind of tool.
So, have you watched the video? Once you have, the following sections will make more sense. Most professionals use the Snipping Tool for basic screenshots. But two new features increase its potential significantly:
Text Extraction
Pull text from any image on your screen and paste it as editable text. No more retyping from:
PDFs that won’t let you copy
Screenshots from webinars
Images in presentations
Text in videos or online meetings
Color Picker
Match colors exactly for presentations, reports, or branding materials. Get the precise hex code or RGB values for any color on your screen.
I use the Snipping Tool multiple times every day and have for years. I especially like the new text extraction feature. It’s saved me countless hours of manual work.
The Snipping Tool is free, and it’s already installed on your Windows computer.

Paper Planner User?
An email from a reader reminded me of a good free resource I offer but haven’t talked much about.
She really likes the pages I developed for a paper planner (8 1/2 X 5 1/2 page size). She asked if I sell a paper planner, and I don’t for a couple of reasons.
First, I don’t want to get involved with making and shipping physical products. Secondly, I prefer digital productivity tools.
But for those who want the simplicity of paper, here is a post that explains what I offer as free downloads.
